• High impedance: 16 ohm speakers are the ideal choice when you need to install multiple speakers on a single amplifier channel. The higher impedance allows for safe parallel wiring of several speakers without risking damage to your amplifier. For instance, you can safely connect 4 ceiling speakers in parallel to each channel of a standard amplifier. This means if you’re using a typical stereo amplifier with two channels (left and right), you can power up to 8 speakers total while maintaining a safe load for your amplifier.
