SmallRig Advanced “Hawklock” Cage for Sony FX5

The SmallRig Advanced “Hawklock” Cage for Sony FX5 is a modular camera cage that protects the FX5 while giving you multiple mounting points for professional accessories. It combines detachable top mount plates with a U-shaped cage, and protective pads at every contact point help prevent scratches.

Three 1/4″-20 screws on both sides and the bottom fix the U-shaped cage firmly, so it won’t twist. Each top plate is held by two screws and comes off when you want to fit the Sony XLR handle or electronic viewfinder.

Security is where this cage stands out. Both the NATO rail and the Arca-type quick release plate have an anti-drop design at each end, so accessories slide on and off quickly but won’t slip free in demanding conditions. A lever at the battery compartment follows the body’s contours for better finger support, and a dedicated HDMI cable clamp protects the port and keeps your signal stable.

For expansion, the SmallRig Advanced “Hawklock” Cage for Sony FX5 features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, 1/4″-20 and ARRI locating holes and a wrist strap slot, with a magnetic wrench built in for quick adjustments.
